Resourcing Community Engagement

A recent Urban Institute report highlights the importance of funding community-level investment and identifies three primary models for public investment:  

  1. reinvesting savings from criminal justice reform in the community,  
  2. generating new resource streams for local priorities, and  
  3. shifting resources away from corrections and law enforcement to community development.
