Participants will gain an understanding of cross-disability and the differences between the medical and social model of disability and why this is an important consideration for policy makers. Participants will gain a heightened understanding of how disability law applies to the criminal justice system and the services therein and the vital importance of providing accommodations to employees and the public served; those calling for services, and those impacted by the criminal justice system—as victims, witnesses, incarcerated people, and their families.
