“Why is Traumatic Victimization Important” is the first of a two part webinar series. The first webinar focuses on the basics of traumatic victimization including prevalence among the general population and the exponentially higher rates of traumatic victimization among incarcerated individuals. The presentation makes the link between traumatic victimization and behaviors leading to incarceration makes the case for an increased focus on addressing traumatic victimization as a means of reducing current and future jail populations.
