Camden County’s Innovation Fund initiative, led by its Department of Corrections, is implementing a multi-pronged community engagement plan to enhance successful reentry. It is centered around a network of Reentry Peer Specialists, previously incarcerated individuals who serve as credible messengers offering direction and encouragement, and help returning citizens navigate community partners and access critical resources. Other components include the county's Reentry Network, which facilitates community-based discussions, trainings, and resource forums, and a media campaign to raise awareness.
