As part of the Safety and Justice Challenge Network, the National Association of Counties (NACo) creates opportunities for county officials to learn from criminal justice experts and to engage in peer-to-peer learning with other counties engaged in reducing the unnecessary use of jails in their jurisdictions. NACo also develops and disseminates resources (such as webinars, publications, special reports, toolkits, podcasts, educational workshops, and special training sessions) based on information learned through the Safety and Justice Challenge. In partnership with the National League of Cities and the National Conference of State Legislatures, NACo convenes an inter-governmental policy academy bringing together teams of elected officials from the municipal, county, and state level to develop and implement aligned strategies aimed at eliminating the overuse and misuse of jails for young adults.#PartnerSpotlight
