APA & IACP have drafted recommendations for police/prosecutor collaborative partnerships. These recommendations are practical in nature and stem from a report & meeting of police chiefs and elected prosecutors in the Challenge. These recommendations are complemented by examples from the field and solutions to common obstacles interfering with criminal justice reform efforts. Some of these recommendations include: emphasizing co-location of programs and services, engaging the community, bridging cultures, the importance of internal and external messaging, and integration of data systems.
