In this session, analytic teams from Allegheny County and the City of Pittsburgh presented various dashboards that have been developed to advance internal decision making or promote community engagement. Through collaboration between the County Manager’s office, Department of Human Services and the Courts, the county has built dashboards to monitor performance metrics of the criminal justice system that impact
the jail population. Also in this presentation is an explanation of what technology and integrated data systems are needed to develop dashboards, who can be the target users/stakeholders, as well as benefits and challenges to using dashboards.
